“Focus on Emerging Issues: Business Education for the
21st Century”

Our 2007-2008 TIME campaign, which focused on faculty research, culminates with this 2-page spread in the TIME 100 issue dated May12th. The ad both differentiates the unique Bentley curriculum and introduces readers to key individuals within the Bentley community. President Gloria Cordes Larson, in the Q&A column, provides an overview of the college’s unique approach to business education in the 21st century, while the featured faculty members represent key areas of teaching and research at Bentley. The ad features Rick Cleary, Chairman of the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Bentley, whose research and consulting work focus on applied statistical analysis and modeling; International Studies Professor Joao Resende-Santos, who focuses on international economic development and directs the Brazil Short-Term Program; Jahangir (Jay) Sultan, Gibbons Professor of History, who is studying the impacts of global terrorism on the financial market; and History Professor Chris Beneke, who teaches and writes about revolutionary and early American history with a focus on intellectual and religious history.
