Professor Patricia M. Flynn
Bentley Trustee Professor of Economics and Management
Since 2003, Professor Pat Flynn and her Bentley colleagues Susan Adams and Toni Wolfman have been tracking data on the 100 largest public companies in Massachusetts, looking specifically for information on the number of women who serve as directors and executive officers. This data forms the basis of an annual Census report, sponsored by Bentley College, The Boston Club and Mercer Human Resource Consulting. The first Census surprised everyone: 50% of the companies surveyed had no women on their boards. Unfortunately, not much has changed since then. In the March 3rd issue of TIME Magazine, Professor Flynn discusses the issue of the lack of women on corporate boards and we invite readers to learn more by visiting a special Bentley faculty research website.
This issue of TIME also includes a 1/3-page ad promoting the 2008 Bentley Leadership Forum.
